Meet Our President
Mark Conklin is the president and co-founder of Accenda Insurance Services, LLC. He has extensive commercial insurance experience in a multitude of industries including Real Estate, Construction, and Manufacturing.
As a native of Phoenix, Mark grew up in the construction and development world working for his father’s company throughout his late teens. After graduating from Glendale Community College and while attending Arizona State, he began his career in the insurance industry working for one of the largest global insurance companies, Metlife Financial; now some 29 years ago. Various positions took him across the country residing both in Boston, MA and San Diego, CA.
Through a desire for Mark and his family to get back to their hometown he took a position with Wick Pilcher Insurance in 2008 where he continued to expand his knowledge in the field of insurance and risk management. Pilcher eventually sold to USI Insurance in early 2013 where Mark remained for another 7 years working both in their Select Account division as well as their Middle Market broker team. In 2020, Mark was approached to help run Accenda Insurance Services, LLC with the goals of organizational growth, insurance solutions for all sizes of companies (not just the large), unsurpassed service and building a positive and vibrant company culture.
Having played in college, Mr. Conklin remains and avid tennis player and captain’s teams in competitive leagues around the valley. He also plays golf and finds time here and there to take rides with friends on his Harley Road King. Mark lives in Scottsdale with Kimberley, his wife of 29 years, and their daughter Bethany.
